What this service does and what it commits to

This is a plain description of the service, not a terms-of-service agreement. The binding terms are with counsel and will be published here. Everything below is an accurate statement of how the product behaves and what we commit to, and is the same description we hand to counsel.

What the service is

BarrierLog is a diagnostic accessibility monitoring and documentation platform. It detects accessibility issues, tracks them over time, supports manual auditing, and generates documentation from the resulting evidence.

What it explicitly does not do

What is included in a lifetime plan

Monitoring, guided manual audits, and regulatory documentation, within the allowances shown on your plan page, for the lifetime of the product. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not of the purchaser — if the service is ever discontinued, we commit to advance notice and a full data export.

Agency features — white-label reporting and client portfolio dashboards — are a separate subscription and are not included in any lifetime plan. We state this before purchase rather than after.

Allowances

Each plan carries monthly page-scan and beacon allowances plus limits on sites, workspaces, and seats. When an allowance is exhausted, the work is refused rather than quietly reduced — a partial scan that still produced a score would misrepresent your coverage. Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month.

Refunds and deactivation

If a licence is refunded or deactivated, the account becomes read-only: crawls, markup sweeps, and beacon collection stop, and the installed snippet goes silent without you touching your site. Nothing is deleted. Existing findings, audits, statements, and evidence records remain readable and exportable.

What we commit to

Acceptable use

Monitor sites you own or are authorised to monitor. The crawler identifies itself, respects a politeness delay, and stays within your configured page budget; do not point it at infrastructure you do not control.
